The World Travel & Tourism Council calculated that on average the Indian tourism is generating $230 billion in a year which is 9.4% of the nation’s GDP. Delhi, Mumbai, Agra, Jaipur, and Chennai are the most visited cities of India by foreign tourists, Worldwide Delhi is ranked 28 while Mumbai is ranked 30 by the number of the International tourist arrival, The Indian Tourism Ministry has launched several new policies for the development and promotes national tourism, The department of Ministry of Tourism also maintains the web portal Incredible India campaign to promote the tourism.

 

India is a land of heritage in the history of the world, located in South Asia where millions of international tourists visit every year from all over the world, India has become one of the fastest-growing countries in the world with a population of 1.41 Billion as per Worldometers data which is the second-largest populated country and equivalent to 17.74% of the total world population.
