As winter weather rolls into the middle of the nation on Monday, more than 1,000 flights have been cancelled throughout the United States.
Tuesday at Dallas Love Field and DFW Airport, hundreds of flights were cancelled.
Dallas Love Field, Dallas-Fort Worth International, Austin Bergstrom International, and Houston Bush International airports in Texas are now the ones that are most impacted so far.
Significant delays are also present at Denver International Airport in Colorado and Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
Around 3 a.m. Monday, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Dallas County and the surrounding areas. A winter storm warning is in effect until Wednesday at noon.
Because of the icy conditions, travel conditions are expected to worsen. Please plan ahead of time and leave plenty of space between yourself and other drivers.
Southwest Airlines, based in Dallas, had cancelled approximately 330 flights within, or out of the United States by 11 a.m. on Monday.
Passengers took to Twitter on Monday to express their dissatisfaction with Southwest Airlines' last-minute cancellations. According to flightaware.com, Southwest had cancelled 12% of its scheduled routes, or more than 480 flights.
