Threads: a new app launched by Meta has managed to score ten million users in its first 7 hours, says Mark Zuckerberg.
Threads app is Instagram's new Twitter competitor it allows users to text up to 500 characters.
Threads had attached more than ten million sign ups including many celebrities like Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Brady, Golden Ramsay and many more.
The app is listed on App store and Play store in about 100 countries. It is similar to Twitter you can like, comment, repost and share, but direct message not included as of now.
After installed the app user have Instagram accounts are told their account must login with the same username, but you can manually update bio and link.
Meta's officials said we are planning to make Threads compatible with ActivityPub, the open social networking protocol by World Wide Web Consortium soon.
Mark Zuckerberg wrote his first Thread "Lets do this. Welcome to Threads" with a fire emoji.
