Undisputed featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and interim champion Yair Rodriguez squared off to determine who held the championship at UFC 290 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Volkanovski finished Rodriguez in the third round with some savage ground and pound to retain his title with an excellent performance.
Moreno impressed up his striking in the early half of the fifth round, but Pantoja dominated his grappling in the second.
Rodriguez dazzled the audience with a dominant performance against Josh Emmett, submitting him in the second round with a triangle choke. It earned him an interim title and the chance to face Volkanovski.
Alex Volkanovski revealed the tight loss to Makhachev on Saturday only helped him get better he dismantled Rodriguez from start to finish.
