Char Dham Yatra one of the Best Pilgrimage places in India is referred to as the four holy places of Hinduism, Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath Char Dham is the most important Hindu religious path in Himalayas of Uttarakhand the meaning of Char Dham is four holy places of Hindu pilgrims.
Yamunotri Temple: The seat of Goddess Yamuna and the source of Yamuna River, the attraction of the Yamunotri temple is located on the bank of Yamuna river of the Uttarkashi district in the Garhwal Division of Uttarakhand, Temple was devoted to Goddess Yamuna with a black marble idol of the Goddess it was constructed for the first time by Amar Singh Thapa in 18th-century.
Gangotri Temple: The seat of Goddess Ganga, the original temple was built 18th-century by Amar Sing Thapa who was the senior commander of the Nepal Army, Aarti dedicates to Ganga inside the temple as well as on the river of the bank.
Kedarnath Temple: is dedicated to Lord Shiva on the Himalayan range of Garhwal Division near Mandakini River, Kedarnath Temple will open only end of April (Akshaya Tritiya) to November (Kartik Purnima) rest of the time the temple remain closed due to extreme weather condition in the winter, to reach the Kedarnath Temple you may have to take a Walk, Pony or Manchan service for at least 18 KM from Gaurikund because there is no direct access to reach the temple by road, Kedarnath Temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of the holiest Hindu shrines of Lord Shiva, the temple was built by Pandavas and revived by Adi Sankaracharya, Kedarnath Temple is the highest among the twelve Jyotirlingas, the temple, and surrounding complex was worst effected during the flash flood in 2013, but temporally the temple has reopened for the pilgrims however the Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has promised to rebuild Kedarnath Temple again soon.
Badrinath Temple: Also known as Badrinarayanan Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple is situated in the town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand, this temple is one of the best pilgrimage places in India and famously known as one of the 108 Diya Desam which dedicated to Lord Vishnu who is worshiped as Birdbath, the temple is located in Chamoli district of Garhwal division in the Himalayan region. the head priest of the Badrinath Temple is traditionally a Brahmin chosen from Kerala, Badrinath Temple is mentioned in ancient religion like Skanda Purana and Vishnu Purana.
