Trimbakeshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. This temple situated by the bank of Godavari river (also called Vridha Ganga) one of the longest Peninsular of the Western Ghats located in Trimbak near Nasik in Maharashtra. Numerous Pandits and Brahmins performed several Pujas in this temple. however Purohits are granted with legal privileges by Nanasaheb Peshwa to conduct puja at the Trimbakeshwar Temple.

It is believed that present Trimbakeshwar temple was built by third Peshwa Balaji Bajirao in 17th centuries. There are four entry gates to the temple, as per the spiritual conceptions the direction The east symbolises the beginning, the west symbolises maturity, the south symbolises fulfilment, and the north symbolises revelation. There are many places to visit near the city.

The temple’s Jyotirlinga is its three faces represent Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Rudra. Respectfully only male pilgrims are allowed in the core area or ‘Garbhgriha’ of the temple, and they must wear a sovala or a silk dhoti in order to enter the temple premises.
