Cordelia Cruise in Goa soon..
The Cordelia Empress domestic cruise liner is expected soon which will kickstart the Cordelia cruise in Goa. Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) chairman Mr. Venkata Ramana Akkaraju said that the first international cruise vessel is expected later in October 2022. Also they are expecting 56 port calls including 21 international cruise liners.
Mr. Akkaraju also said that he held a meeting with the Government officials and private stake holders to make sure the operations are going well for the upcoming season, Issues pertaining to taxi and bus operators were also discussed.
Goa usually play host to about 51 international cruise liners including MS Ocean Odyssey, MS Europa, MS Nautica, The World, Regent Seven Seas, MS Borealis and Silver Spirit however, most of the international tourists do not disembark here.
New international cruise terminal construction on 55000 sqm of land with the total cost of the ₹74.1 crores are expected to be completed by September 2023. Till then the existing terminal will be used for the cruise liners, “he added
He also said that standard operating procedures for enforcement agencies will be put in place so that cruise operators and the passengers can have a hassle free experience and we are fully confident that all cruise visitors coming from India and international to Goa will have a good and unforgettable experience.

Goa is also almost ready to open its second airport Mopa International Airport which is under construction, The airport is being developed by GMR Goa International Airport Limited (GGIAL) located at Mopa in Pernem taluka. it is being built at a cost of ₹3,000 crore (US$380 million) and expected to open soon to welcome tourists from all over the world.
