According to a senior Alliance Air official, the extra flights will run on Sundays and Wednesdays, two days a week. The sole airline operating in Lakshadweep, Alliance Air, connects Kochi, Kerala, with Agatti Island, which has a small airport that serves Lakshadweep. Every day, the airlines fly 70-seaters to the island. It is operating at maximum capacity, with all tickets sold out until March.
Agatti is the only airport here that can only accommodate tiny planes, and Alliance Air is the sole airline that flies there every day.
