Covid 19 Cases Updates: India stands at 1,65,799 cases death toll 4,706

Covid 19 Cases Updates: The total number of cases in the country now stands at 1,65,799 including 89,987 active cases. As many as 71,105 people have been cured/discharged, 1 case was migrated while total numbers of deaths 4,706 due to COVID-19.

Maharashtra stands with highest number of cases 59,546 and 1982 deaths, followed by Tamil Nadu 19372 cases 145 deaths, Delhi 16281 cases 316 deaths and Gujarat 15,562 cases 960 deaths, due to noval coronavirus 

Lockdown 5.0 may announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 31 in his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat. Lockdown 5.0 will mainly focus on 11 cities where most-affected cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Thane, Indore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Surat and Kolkata, and ease restrictions in most of India.

The government is also planning to allow the religious places to be reopened in Lockdown 5.0 but with certain conditions, which will mean no religious events such as fairs and festivals can be conducted in this period. Wearing a mask and social distancing will also be made mandatory in religious places.

Meanwhile Ministry of Railways on Thursday announced that the advance reservation period (ARP) of all specials (trains) notified from 30 days to 120 days, and that tatkal quota will be restored for 200 special and 30 Rajdhani-type trains. And the changes will be implemented with effect from 31 May 2020 onwards.

As far as the world numbers of Covid 19 cases updates are concerned there are 5,900,765 total confirmed cases, with the death toll rose to 361,776 and 2,577,225 people are recovered so far as per CoronaTracker data. The US has recorded 103,330 deaths from 1,768,346 cases, UK 37,837 deaths from 269,127 cases, Italy 33,142 deaths from 231,732 cases, France 28,662 deaths from 186,238 cases and Spain 27,119 deaths from 284,986 cases.
