What is Coronavirus COVID-19

Coronavirus disease known as COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered originally came from Wuhan China. Thousands of people infected with the COVID-19 virus in 196 countries in the world will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.

Coronavirus disease spreads mostly through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it’s very important that everyone practices respiratory etiquette by coughing into a flexed elbow. Older people and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.

So far there are no specific vaccines or treatments discovered for COVID-19. However, there are many medical experts and health organizations around the world are working on it. So far the only way to prevent transmission and protect yourself from COVID-19 virus is to maintain social distance with others and by washing your hands or using an alcohol-based rub frequently and not touching your face (recommended by World Health Organization)
