Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a fourth video conference on Monday with Chief Ministers to discuss the situation, India is under lockdown since March 25 to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The source said that the high-level meeting is also discussed graded exit from the lockdown.
Most of the Chief Ministers have suggested the extension of lockdown after May 3 to further tackle the spread of novel coronavirus. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said through video conference state has started door to door screening to fight against COVID-19 pandemic, he further said that till now, 4 crore people have been screened in the state. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that ending the lockdown will not be easy as Delhi witnessed a record of coronavirus cases as 293 people tested positive on Sunday with COVID-19 infection. Kejriwal further said at least 33 healthcare workers including two doctors and 23 nursing staffs are tested positive with COVID-19 in the national capital.
