Coronavirus Pandemic Updates: India stands at 28,380, the death toll from the pandemic reached at 886. Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Delhi have reported the highest number of cases. The government cancels all Chinese Covid-19 test kit orders from Kits of Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech, Zhuhai Livzon Diagnostics as the results are not up to mark. ICMR asks all states to return rapid antibody test kits, Govt said won’t lose a single rupee.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a fourth video conference on Monday with Chief Ministers to discuss the situation, India is under lockdown since March 25 to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The source said that the high-level meeting is also discussed graded exit from the lockdown.

Most of the Chief Ministers have suggested the extension of lockdown after May 3 to further tackle the spread of novel coronavirus. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said while addressing the nation via his monthly radio show Mann ki Baat. The nation is in the middle of a Yudh (war). So the people our country have to take necessary precautions to fight against Coronavirus Pandemic.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said through video conference state has started door to door screening to fight against COVID-19 pandemic, he further said that till now, 4 crore people have been screened in the state. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that ending the lockdown will not be easy as Delhi witnessed a record of coronavirus cases as 293 people tested positive on Sunday with COVID-19 infection. Kejriwal further said at least 33 healthcare workers including two doctors and 23 nursing staffs are tested positive with COVID-19 in the national capital.

The United States remains the worst country in the world stands with 987,322 confirmed cases and 55,415 deaths, followed by Spain (226,629 cases – 23,190 deaths), Italy (197,675 cases – 26,644 deaths) according to the real-time data of Worldometer.
